Co-founders Tash and Lukas have been personal trainers for most of their adult lives, and as much as they love their training - they're equally passionate about the culture and positive energy that a good fitness community can create.

Prime Athletica is a place where training and classes are defined by the knowledge and passion of our personal trainers, executed using the best equipment and conducted in a welcoming, friendly environment where no one takes anything but their training too seriously.

Weight training, plyometric training, high intensity interval training (HIIT).

Likes
Training! Meeting new people, animals, massages, food – cooking and eating it, long walks (doesn’t have to be on the beach) but I also love the beach and the sun.

Dislikes
Cold weather, animal cruelty, overly pompous people, learning new technology, diets.

Favourite Food
Ice cream (surely this classifies as food…?)

Favourite Drink
Long blacks and red wine - mood dependent

Favourite Training Methods
I grew up using bodybuilding principles but nowadays I try to be open to all methods of training and essentially believe in a style with no style. Implement what works and disregard what doesn’t, regardless of what discipline it stems from.

Likes
Table tennis, the beach, chilling out and training.

Dislikes
Obnoxiousness, absolute belief systems (of any description) and unwashed protein shakers.

Favourite Food
Since going vego, definitely pizza.

Favourite Drink
Pepsi and Pina Coladas (not together).

I come from a well rounded sporting background and played everything I could. I have a great passion for weight/strength training. I love the constant self-improvement and learning aspects of training. I use a holistic approach to health and fitness to create wellness in all aspects of my life. Season dependent, I like to dabble in a bit of recreational running, mobility and functional training.

Likes
Carlton football club, country music, a night out dancing, laughing, languages/culture and ocean swims.

Dislikes
Pessimists and cloudy days.

Favourite Food
Home cooked meals and chocolate.

Favourite Drink
Bourbon and crisp lagers on a hot day.

Ahhh these change so often, but definitely snowboarding when I can, as well as various tabletop/board/card games (defo a nerd at heart).

You know when you have to put a duvet (sorry...doona...) cover on...? Yeah that.

Burgers - hands down.

Favourite Training Methods
Mobility and prehab exercises are so important to me before I start training. I train barefoot and focus a lot on feet awareness during my big lifts. I love working on power and muscular endurance and pairing it with mobility to achieve as much symmetry and range of motion during movement. Recently started Olympic lifting and I'm obsessed with that as well.

Likes
Food, hiking, warm weather, travelling, road trips, lifting weights, true crime documentaries, horror movies, my dog Pebbles.

Dislikes
Rudeness, big crowds, bad drivers, cold days, rain, creepy crawlies.

Favourite Food
Cake and coffee flavoured gelato.

Favourite Drink
Milk tea with pearls (yes I am very Asian haha).

Favourite Training Methods
I have practiced Kajukenbo (Hawaiian Martial Arts) since a young age, therefore functional strength, plyometrics, cardio and muscular endurance training are right up my alley. I particularly enjoy strength training with free weights and working on big muscle groups like legs, chest and back.

Likes
Watching sitcoms, psychological horror films, documentaries, sports events. I love wildlife and driving to places in the countryside. Painting. Cooking and sporadic adrenaline-fuelled activities.

Dislikes
Wearing layers, doing dishes, unrealistic suggested serving sizes, food waste.

Favourite Food
At home there should always be (in any shape or form): peanuts, banana, corn, cheese, eggs, tomato and coriander. When eating out I love Italian... and hot chips!

Favourite Drink
Espresso, long black, soy latte... Coffee!

Being very sport driven and focused, sport specific training is my favourite training method. But I have always had a little man crush on bodybuilding, strength training and range of strength.

Likes
Hippos (fav animal and it’s not even close), competition, basketball, sleeping, eating all the time, travelling and good vibes.

Dislikes
An untidy kitchen, brussel sprouts, not eating, when Richmond loses and negativity.

CHICKEN and PIZZA enough said!!!

Tequila Pineapples and soy lattes…. So many yummmies.
